Sitting on the floor with a large diagram of the space they were using at the LA Center for the wedding and reception, Alyssa wiggled her nose and tucked her hair away from her face. Toni went breezing by, chasing her little brother who squealed and ducked behind Alyssa. She reached behind, tickling him.

"MAMA!" he shouted before running off.

Shaking her head, she watched the two chase each other around for awhile. That is until Nick tripped and started to bawl. Getting to her feet quickly, Alyssa swept him up into her arms, kissed his newly exposed belly and set him back down giggling. The kids apparently decided it was enough and plopped down in front of the tv, Toni turning it on.

Clicking the remote near her to change it to one of the kids' TiVo'ed programs, Alyssa turned her attention back to the diagram. She pretty much had decided where the chairs would be set, the aisle positioned, but she couldn't decide on the layout for the reception tables. Or really how to distract the guests while the area was reset.

"Lyss?" Chris's voice interrupted her thoughts. "Whatcha doing?"

"Trying to set the scene," she declared. "I think we should just have the ceremony in the Grand Hall and then the reception in the Plaza."

"Whatever you think," he glanced at the kids who were watching Rugrats.

"It would fit better I think," Alyssa removed her circles from the plan, shoving them all aside. "You're going to help me with seating assignments right?"

His eyes snapped back to hers, "We're assigning seating?"

"It is a formal affair."

"Can we not just assign the wedding party and let everyone else find themselves a seat?" he suggested.

Her eyes dropped back down to the empty diagram of the Plaza, "Possibly...."

Taking a step forward, Chris accidentally stepped on the remote. This caused the TiVo to flip off and the tv to change channels. Alyssa's eyes moved to the tv at the sudden change of images. And she gasped. Her hand slapped Chris's foot of the remote and snatched it up. She hit buttons, trying to change it from the very naked adults on the screen. Chris, momentarily frozen at the sounds of moans, jumped towards the tv and hit the button on the unit.

"Dada? Whats that?" Toni asked, pointing at the now black screen.

"Nothing."

"You and Lyss-Lyss do that?" she questioned, wide eyes on her father.

Chris turned dark red.

Having recovered from the shock, Alyssa stood, "How about you guys come and help me with dinner? You can use the mixer."

"Yay!" Toni jumped up, running from the room with Nick toddling behind her.

"You'll need to go get a new remote for the tv," she said gently. "And then block those channels from it, so this doesn't happen again, love."

Nodding numbly he reached behind the tv and unplugged it just for safety's measure. Shuffling out of the room, he paused to kiss Alyssa quickly before heading the opposite direction.

Sipping from her glass of water, Alyssa smiled, offering the glass to Chris. He smirked, having finally understood why she drank after each taste. The sugar was already starting to give him a buzz. Oh was he grateful that the kids weren't along that day. Cake and children didn't usually make a good combination.

"This one," she declared, offering the bite to Chris.

After the confectionary melted away in his mouth, he nodded, "That one."

The baker's brows rose, "You sure?"

"Yes. We'll use that for the guest cake," she answered.

"Not the wedding cake?" the baker asked, a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

"No. I think you'll have your hands full enough making enough cake for nine hundred people," she replied. "The wedding cake is being baked by a close personal friend.'

"It is?" Chris and the baker asked in unison.

Alyssa nodded, "We'll need about..... four dozen cupcakes to go along with the cake as well."

"Cupcakes?" Chris repeated.

"Yeah, for the kids," she replied.

"Kids," he repeated again.

She turned to face him, "Yes, love. We're doing a little section just for the kids. That's why we're going to the party favour store after this."

"I'm confused," Chris claimed.

Alyssa leaned forward and kissed his cheek softly, "That's all right. I'll explain it in the car."

Her attention turned back to the baker, "Now, about the cake...."

Turning over in bed, Chris reached over to Alyssa. His hand found her bare stomach, caressing it gently. She giggled softly, her hand covering his to stop his fingers' motions.

"Lyss?" he asked softly.

"Mmmhmmm?"

"You still sure about this wedding thing?"

She turned on her side to face him. His hand moved up from her side to tuck her hair out of her eyes.

"I am," Alyssa answered, moving closer to him, so that her breasts touched his chest. "I want this to be the most magical day, the most magical beginning of our wedded life together. And sure, there's been times where I've wanted to call the whole thing off. But ... Chris, this is my first wedding, my only wedding. And sure I'm marrying the most wonderful man in this whole world, who I would marry at the county clerk's office if need be. A wedding is more than just the beginning of a marriage, it's the celebration of that. And it's going to be something our children talk about, that everyone will talk about. It will be the most perfect wedding ever."

He leaned forward and kissed her, "How could it not be with the woman I'm marrying being you?"

She smiled, "You wanna do what Toni and Nick saw on the tv yesterday?"

Chris chuckled, "You just had to bring that up in this tender moment."

"Of course. Because it was hot what those porn stars were doing, if a little unbelievable," Alyssa giggled.

"Unbeleiveable? You don't think we could do that?" he teased, hand moving down the curve of her body.

"Nope. You're not that flexible," she declared.

"I think that's a challenge, Miss Morgan."

"Perhaps it is."

hehehehehehehe.

& that was too short.

(and apparently you don't get capitals).

Way to short (I lied, I guess). Way, way, way. I still have ten minutes before I need to go. Whatever will I do? Leave early? Probably.

I so called that, by the way.

And I love how he called her Miss Morgan.

I'm done now, I think.

P.S.

Did you know that Audioslave was the first American band to preform in Cuba?

Well I do know that they performed in Cuba. Not sure about P-R-E-F-O-R-Ming though, as I'm not sure that's even a word.

Short, perhaps. Entertaining, no doubt! That was one of the funniest things I've read in a while! How're they going to handle that? Chris going to do an awkward daddy talk? Love it!

(Oh, and these two icons have Jeff Buckley in them, in case you needed reminding how incredibly hot he is!)

She's like three. I don't really think the awkward daddy talk is really needed as of yet. And I'm pretty sure that Alyssa would step in to do it for him. Heh.

Oh, that's true. Though I have known people who've gotten "the talk" as early as four or five. And yeah, Chris'd probably let Alyssa handle it. And by "let," I mean beg her to do it.

LoL. He probably will. And I bet it comes up again. At the most awkward of times too.

Oooooh. Idea. Right there. Bwahahahahhahahaha. Though I think that's a couple of chapters away.

LoL.

You would think that the man hasn't been married twice before.
