Rating: R [violence, swearing, nudity]
Summary: The couple lands in paradise.
Alyssa wiggled, trying to see out the window. With a smile, Chris reached over and closed the shutter. Her eyes narrowed and she turned, trying to see out the window on the other side of the plane. Chris's hands suddenly closed over her ears, blocking out the announcement of their landing location's weather. She glared at him again, peeling his hands off her ears. But by then the announcement was over.
"I hate you," she declared.
"No, you don't," he kissed her cheek quickly.
"Chris, where are we?" she pleaded, keeping her eyes on his as she felt the bump of the small plane's tires hit the runway.
"Patience, my love," he replied, his hand covering hers and squeezing softly.
The plane came to a halt. The light in the cabin went off. Alyssa instantly removed her seatbelt and jumped up. The others on the small plane chuckled. She knew Chris had made them promise to not mention where they were all headed in the short flight. He had even blindfolded her during plane changes to insure she had no clue where in the world they were.
And it paid off. Big time.
Stepping off the plane, Alyssa gasped. Her eyes danced wildly about. She didn't know exactly where they were, only that it looked like paradise.
"Welcome to Anguilla, love," Chris breathed in her ear, his arms wrapping around her waist.
"Which is where.....?" she whispered.
"Caribbean," he replied. "You can read more about it when we get to the villa."
"Oh, Chris, this is... amazing."
"You haven't seen anything yet, baby."
She was certain that she hadn't breathed since stepping off the plane. Her face was practically pressed to the windows of the car as they headed to wherever Chris booked them for the next two weeks. White sandy beaches peeked out from between buildings and lush greenery. She was already in love with the island and they hadn't even been there for an hour.
"Chris....." she uttered, letting him help her out of the car.
"Welcome to our home for the next two weeks," he smiled at her, motioning to the villa behind him.
Her hand in his, she allowed him to lead her through the gates into the villa. She wasn't entirely sure where to look. Pristine stucco and stone surrounded the entrance, palm trees framing the house. Stepping inside kept her breath from ever nearing her lungs. Just inside windows opened to the centre atrium around which the two story building revolved around in its luxurious woods and textures. Through the kitchen, dining, courtyard, and living room, Chris wandered. He avoided the deck for the moment, instead turning to lead Alyssa to the stairs that lead to the second floor.
On the second floor, two master suites beckoned. Alyssa hesitated, not knowing which way to go. Chris eventually decided and lead her to the right one. Here she released his hand and wandered about. Seduced by the sounds of outside, she wandered out onto the deck.
"Oh Chris," she muttered as he joined her out there. "This is... gorgeous."
His arms slipped around her again, his lips touching her throat, "Moreso with you here."
Stretching, Alyssa opened one eye and looked around. Her smile brightened her face. She really was there. It hadn't all just been a dream. She was in the Caribbean. With Chris.
Turning over, she draped one arm over his chest and moved to kiss him awake. He met her gentle kiss, smiling himself.
"Good morning, angel," he breathed. "Sleep well?"
"Fabulously," she declared. "Almost thought this was all a dream."
"Funny. I think that every morning I wake with you next to me."
Alyssa playfully slapped his bare chest, "Silly. Let's go eat something. Then I want to see more of this place."
"As you wish."
Rolling out of bed, Chris slipped behind Alyssa, assailing her throat with kisses once more. She giggled and wiggled away, hurrying out of the bedroom to bounce down the steps towards the kitchen. For the briefest of moments she glanced over the courtyard and inhaled deeply. Even the air seemed more relaxing there.
But Chris was soon on her, so she hurried off, closing the door behind her to cut him off. He knocked only once before hurrying to the next door connecting the house and courtyard. By the time he reached her, Alyssa was already eating fruit and sipping champagne.
"You pamper me too much," she declared, offering him a glass of bubbly.
"Not nearly enough if you ask me," he replied.
Alyssa rolled her eyes, "So what are we doing today?"
"I think we need to go shopping," Chris answered, sipping his champagne after she plopped a strawberry in it.
"And why is that?"
"I forgot to pack your bathing suit."
Finding a new suit hadn't been as easy as she would have liked. Mainly because she hated shopping for them, as most women did. But within two hours, Alyssa had two new bathing suits and was ready to hit the beach. Chris argued that lunch would be a good idea first. They couldn't survive the day on fruit and champagne from breakfast.
Settling in a small restaurant inches away from the sandy beaches, Chris couldn't manage to hold Alyssa's attention long enough to look at the menu. So he just ordered for her, before reaching across the table and grasping her hand.
"Love, you're like a little kid," he teased.
"I've never been anywhere like this before," she declared.
"You've been to islands before. Your passport has as many stamps as mine," Chris pointed out.
Her eyes met his, "Cuba is nothing like this, Chris. Tour stops cannot compare to this island. It's... breathtaking. How did you find it?"
"Friend of a friend," he shrugged.
"However are you going to top this for our honeymoon?" Alyssa asked seriously.
"Oh don't you worry about that," he grinned.
She matched his grin, "Some reason I don't think I need to at all."
Alyssa squealed as Chris chased her down the beach. She knew she didn't really have a chance, he would catch her and throw her in the water. But it wasn't about the result. It was all about the chase.
So around other couples they ran, towards the water, from the water. Alyssa ducking just out of his reach before he could wrap his arms around her. Stumbling some on her own feet was the only reason he was able to catch her. A quick kiss to her lips and Chris hoisted her over his shoulder. She wiggled and protested but moments later they were both waist-deep in aquamarine water.
"For a moment I thought I would never catch you," he declared.
"I knew you would ten years ago."
