Stirring when she felt the weight of another on the bed, Kat opened one eye. Before she could gauge the situation, a hand tenatively touched her shoulder. She made no sounds, feigning as if she hadn't noticed it, hadn't been stirred by it. Not particularly in any effort to shun him, but rather to see his reaction, to see if he would give up all that easy.

The answer to that was no.

A moment later Kat felt the length of his body next to hers. His toes touched hers, his arm draped over her waist, his chest against her back, his face buried in her hair. A smile touched her lips at that. He wasn't waking her in hopes of the sex they had seemingly almost engaged in. He was merely snuggling up with her. She couldn't recall anyone ever doing that before. But she should know by then that Ville was not like anyone else before.

His hand left her belly, softly touching her skin, seemingly searching for something. When his hand found hers and covered it, lacing their fingers, she couldn't help but smile more. That was almost too much to handle. But she made no moves to change the situation. They could sleep in each other's arms like that. That would be heaven to wake up in. And so she relaxed and once again allowed the darkness of dreams to overtake her.

Before she had left her home for the city, Kat had numerous nightmares, almost as if they were trying to warn her to not take such an uncalculated risk. That very night, as she was about to undertake a greater risk, not a single nightmare threatened her vision. Kat was inclined to think it was the arms that held her that night, making her feel safe and secure, even in sleep.

And oh the mood she woke in.

"And that is why the sun rises," she heard him breathe.

"Good morning, Ville," Kat whispered.

"Good morning, sweetheart," he kissed her cheek.

"How long have you been watching me sleep?"

"Not all that long. I did not want to move and wake you when you looked so at peace," Ville claimed. "And to watch you work your way awake, with a smile on your face, is not something I would miss for a thousand stars."

Her smile grew into a grin, "You spoil me with such words."

"Truth can never spoil you," he claimed.

"Mmmmm, perhaps, perhaps not," she wiggled, stealing her hand away from him. "Even if that's true, I still need to pee."

Ville chuckled and released her from his embrace. Kat thought part of his reasoning was being able to watch her walk over to the bathroom, knowing full well she was as naked as he had left her. And she felt those green eyes watch her every step, causing her to flush slightly.

Lingering in the bathroom to clean up what little she had scattered about in the small room, Kat returned to the bedroom proper, dropping her toiletry bag alongside the other two. Ville was still lounging in bed, a smile on his face. Reaching the end of the bed, Kat crawled up towards him, laying upon the blanket and him.

"I think waking with your arms around me is the best way to start the day," she declared before kissing him briefly.

"Good. I rather enjoy it myself, enough that it may become a habit I will not want to break," Ville claimed, before pulling her to him for another shared kiss. "However as much as I would love to remain in bed with you all day, we have a bus to catch. They should be here soon to rouse us and demand our luggage."

As if almost on cue a loud knock sounded at the door. Kat squealed and jumped up, grabbing the clothes she had set out the day before and hurrying back to the bathroom to dress. Ville shook his head before throwing back the blanket and answering the door. As both dressed, their belongings were taken down and loaded unto the tour bus. Kat still could not believe she had agreed to tour with them, that it was in fact a reality. But it was. It was her reality now.

His hand laced with hers in the elevator, paying no mind to a few raised eyebrows at the action. He lead her directly from the lift to the bus, leaving someone else to settle up the hotel bill. He seemed rather determined to make certain Kat not only got on the bus, but remained on it, almost as if he feared she would change her mind last moment and run away.

When the bus started and the doors closed, Ville released her hand. He showed her about the tour bus, as if she hadn't seen it before. Which was partly true since she had been slightly intoxicated riding it from the club to the hotel.

Leading her back to the bunks, he frowned slightly, "It did not even occur to me where you could sleep on the bus. I suppose we will share tight sleeping quarters."

"It won't bother me at all," she assured him. "Really, Ville."

He nodded and the headed back up towards the front of the bus. Sitting on one of the couches, he pulled her down with him. Without even a thought, Kat laid her head on his chest, tucking her feet up under her. Before she even noticed, the motion of the bus and the steady sounds of the guys talking lulled her into a sleep again.

Kat's eyes fluttered open once the bus was no longer in motion. Confusion filled her eyes for a few moments until she realized where she was, what was going on. And that lead to her pivoting to look up at Ville.

"You let me sleep all that way?" she asked.

He nodded, "You were too peaceful to wake and not bothering anyone, least of all me. No need to wake you."

"Where are we?" she sat up, trying to look out the window for something familiar.

"California," he replied. "Getting checked into our hotel."

"Oh," she said, nestling back down on him. "I could just stay here forever."

Ville chuckled, "Be as that may, I could use a break from being a pillow as well as a meal. Come dine with me, sweetheart."

"Of course," Kat sat back up. "Anything you want, Ville."

oh so sweet! There's just something about the idea of a man watching his lady sleep that just turns me to goo. . .so romantic, and beautifully expressed in this chapter dear. I'm so glad you got another chapter up tonight, made a lovely break from Emily Dickinson :)

As always, I will be waiting for more. After all, they in California now, the drama is sure to start rolling, lol.

By the way dear, do you mind if I add your fiction journal to my friends list?
