Sitting in the lobby of the hotel, wrapped in a large bathrobe over her pjs, Kat stared blankly out the window. Weighing her options a frown appeared on her forehead. Going with Ville on the bus would mean more time with him, getting to know him better. Going home would mean the end of something beautiful and the beginning of reality. The dream was really better than the reality, but dreams were so often foolish. She'd already risked everything to get where she was then. Just because it paid off so far didn't mean it would continue doing so.
He would tire of her. And then she would be stuck in some city far away from any place she could call home, unable to return. And what would happen when the tour was over? He'd get on a plane back to Europe. And Kat would be stuck once more some place unknown.
No it wasn't a good idea at all. But why did her soul ache to agree and jump on for the ride?
"Kat?" a voice interrupted her chained thoughts.
Her eyes raised to the source and she smiled softly at him, "Hey, Mige. How's it going?"
"All right. Ville's been asking where you are. Any reason you're hiding from him behind this rather large palm tree?" he asked, sitting in a chair next to her.
"He asked me to go with you," she stated.
He nodded, "I know. We talked about it earlier today. And you didn't say yes?"
"I didn't say no either," she claimed. "I'm just having a hard time quantifying the risk. Especially since I don't see what I get out of it."
"A chance at many girls' fantasy. Enough storied to write a book about. A chance to see other cities. A chance to be happy," Mige claimed. "You're not happy now, Kat."
"What? Of course I am," she quickly countered. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Don't lie. You're not happy. Anyone who really looks at you can see it," he stated. "Plus you admitted as much after the fourth drink or so the other night."
Kat flushed slightly, "I'm not unhappy. I'm just not anything."
"Then what do you have to lose?" Mige asked. "Do you have a job to go back to? A family?"
She shook her head, "No. I've been living off an inheritance for some time. My family is all dead. Just me in a house in the middle of nowhere, USA. No job, no prospects. Nothing. Just me and a farmhouse."
"Then what do you have to lose?" he repeated.
"Why are you trying to talk me into it?" she countered.
"In truth, I want to see Ville happy. And I know you could do that. Far better than Jonna ever could. You're a lot more like him than she is," Mige answered. "I've not seen him look so... alive since meeting you. That's why."
Kat shook her head, "What if it doesn't work out?"
"What if it does?"
She sighed, "You're no help, you know that?"
"Sure I am. You just don't want to see it," he claimed, standing. "Think about it, Kat. When it's right, it's right."
Mige left her with her thoughts, her eyes drifting back to the window. Memories of her life before flashed in her mind, coupled with memories of the past week. The past week was infinitely happier. She should risk it all again. It had paid off last time. It would again. It had to.
Standing Kat headed to the elevator, ignoring the looks of other guests who probably didn't think a girl like her should even been in a hotel like that, much less walking around in a bathrobe. Not that she cared what they thought of her. There were far more important things in life.
The ride up seemed unbareable. She chewed on her nails. She tapped her foot. She even hummed along with the muzak. She needed to get to Ville before she changed her mind.
Hurrying down the hall she didn't notice who she brushed pass, nor that they had a rather familiar dress in their arms. Instead she threw open the door to the room she shared with Ville, it slamming behind her. He was seated on the couch, smoking. A smile lit his face as he put out the cigarette and watched her approach him. Kat stopped directly in front of Ville, looking down at him.
"Yes."
His smile widened, "Really?"
She nodded.
His hands slid into her robe as he pulled her into an embrace. A moment later he pulled her down into his lap, his mouth finding hers without delay. Kat could not help but smile into the kiss, feeling how happy her agreeing had made him. She returned the kiss with as passion as he shared with her. Their lips parted, their tongues wrestled. His hands moved about her back, coming forward to push the robe off fully. His mouth left hers to kiss her neck.
"Ville," she breathed, "I want to make you happy. Completely happy."
"Do you?" he pulled back, green glittering eyes meeting hers.
"Nothing would make me happier," she proclaimed.
Ville kissed her quickly, "We'll see about that."
"What do you mean?" Kat asked, confusion evident by her features.
He smirked, "You'll just have to wait and see."
She pouted, "I don't do waiting well."
His hands went under her ass, after pushing the robe completely off her shoulders. A moment later he stood, supporting her with his hands, making her arms wrap about his neck. To help him, she also wrapped her legs about his waist, not entirely sure what he was doing. But when Ville took a few steps towards the bed, Kat giggled.
"Somehow I doubt your intentions are honourable, my dear Ville," she teased.
"Completely," he smiled before lowering her to the bed.
Ville's mouth met hers again, slowly pushing her backwards. His hands slipped up her PJ shirt, slowly tracing the soft skin of her belly. Kat wiggled some underneath him, causing Ville to push himself up. With a smile she moved towards the centre of the bed, rather than remain on the edge with her legs dangling over. With a grin, Ville climbed up her, stopping at her waist. His fingers slipped under the waistband and Kat needed no further hint and raised her hips from the bed. He obviously hadn't paid any attention when she dressed earlier, for she heard him gasp finding her panty-less under her pants.
After pulling her pants off her toes, Ville's lips trailed up her legs. He paused at her knees, kissing around them softly, which elicted a giggle from Kat's lips. His lips travelled the inner parts of her thighs from there, slowly kissing towards her hairless heat. But rather than continue there, he skipped over and kissed her navel, working her shirt up with his hands.
Straddling her, Ville pulled her up to remove the shirt. Their lips met rather frantically for a moment, Kat needing to share some of her passion with him. Pulling out of the kiss after pressing her back onto the bed, Ville leaned up and smiled.
"Beautiful. You're so beautiful," he commented.
She grinned at him. Never before had she really felt what he said. Except when he touched her, kissed her, breathed on her. Kat wasn't about to analyze why either, or at least not in that moment. Especially as his mouth had returned to her navel, kissing slowly back towards her breasts, which his hands had found rather fondly. A gasp passed her lips once his mouth found a nipple.
"Ville," she murmured. "Not fair."
"Hmmmm?" he hummed, her nipple in his mouth.
"Clothes. You."
He merely smirked and went back to worshipping her breasts.
Sure having her nipples pierced meant they were more sensitive. But never before had they felt that sensitive, that reactive to touch. Maybe it was because it was Ville who touched her. Or maybe it was how. Whatever the cause, Kat's head was spinning, her breaths shallow and rapid.
Giving up on her breasts, Ville's mouth tasted along her throat, working his way back to her mouth. When they met in a kiss once more, Kat pressed her body against his, frowning that he had not miraculously become naked as well. Cotton shirts and jeans just didn't feel right against bare skin.
"Ville," she breathed. "Clothes, not fair."
He chuckled and kissed her again, his hands trailing down the curves of her body.
Kat pouted, "Ville...."
With a slight smile, he leaned up and pulled his shirt off, "Better?"
"Almost," she answered, her hands circling the waistband of his jeans.
"Impatient, sweetheart?"
"Yes," she breathed.
Ville chuckled and leaned back down for a kiss, pulling her hands off his pants, "All in good time, my sweet."
His hands went back to learning the softness of her body. Trailing around her hips, he once again fluttered close to where she so needed to be touched, but didn't dare to venture any closer. Fingertips worked back up, ever so lightly touching her breasts. A soft purr escaped her lips.
Frustrated he wasn't touching her as she wanted nor was he giving her the opportunity of more, Kat's hands boldly undid the button of his pants, pushing away his hands. Her fingers slid down his abdomen as the other hand unzipped him next. He groaned into a kiss as she neared touching him.
Kat's fingers barely brushed Ville and the both froze. Not from the caress but from the knock at the door. Ville kissed her again, deciding to ignore it, but another one echoed, this one sounding more harried and was occupanied by a voice calling for Ville. Pulling away from the kiss and her touch, he fixed his pants and went to the door.
"What?" he demanded as he opened the door.
A cell phone was thrust at him, "You wouldn't answer you phone, so she's called everyone of us. Talk to her."
He accepted the phone and instantly went into fast talking Finnish mode. Kat frowned and moved to get under the blankets, not particularly caring for whomever was at the door to see her in all her naked glory. Turning her back to the door, she tucked her hand under the pillow and pulled the blankets close. Her eyes fluttered close and she sighed deeply. Before she knew it, Kat drifted asleep while Ville argued on the phone.

You're really doing a briliant job of delevoping the relationship between Ville and Kat -- not too fast or too slow, but just right. And the details, oh some of your details, like after Ville first kisses her and then she makes note of the "J" tattoo, oh that was great.
Well now that Kat is heading out on tour with the band, I'm on the edge of my seat to see what happens, especially since Ville made mention that Jonna might be in LA; will he get rid of Jonna by then, or will all hell break out. . .the plot thickens, lol.
Keep up the beautiful writing dear, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite authors on the net :)
I'm gonna admit it. Your comments make me want to write more and more. Specially since they're more than just 'hey, that was great.'
I would expect another chapter tonight, in all likelihood. Since I didn't do one yesterday feeling a bit behind. That and I'm way stoked to be writing. :D
Oh another chapter tonight. . .woo hoo, that would really make my night and it would give me a wonderful break from my reading for class tomorrow :) I can't wait dear.
i've just discovered this website(very late, i know) , and am an avid HIM fan...so of course i'm reading 'in joy and sorrow.' i'm so hooked, thank goodness it's not a school night..i'll be up a while!!
it's so common for people to write about fans meeting stars, but yours actually holds some depth, making it soo much more interesting. also, i love your subtleties and vagueness about what's coming next. your story is nice and unpredictable, i've been excited about coming home to read it all day! :D
